I always wondered if scarves or other types of coverings would ever work on exothermic creatures. They work for endothermic things because they trap heat produced by the person/critter. I seem to remember some pictures floating around of a pet snake in a knitted pink tube-thingie its owner made for it. The disclaimer said that it was for decoration only, & wasn't for keeping him warm.
So, I'm guessing that the scarf needs to be one of those electric-blanket type setups to actually be effective.
